Martinez Coy On Possible Sale Of Romelu Lukaku To PSG

Oct 31, 2015 11:04 AM

Roberto Martinez has declined to comment on reports that Everton would sell Romelu Lukaku if they received the right offer.

Mino Raiola reportedly told a French radio station they had been given the manager’s blessing amid rumors of interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

“I’m not here to try to do the job of an agent," said Martinez. "I’m not going to entertain any sort of rumors and speculation. I have to do that during the transfer window, against my wishes, so as you can understand I’m quite happy now not to go into any comments.”

Lukaku is the most expensive signing in the history of Everton.

Semedo: Cristiano Ronaldo Likely To Finish Career In England

Oct 29, 2015 5:31 PM

Cristiano Ronaldo's close friend, Semedo, believes he'll return to the Premier League.

"He is very happy at Real Madrid [but] he loves English football, he loves English people, and deep down I think he will come back to England because it doesn't look like he wants to finish his career without getting back to England," said Semedo.

"He said he would wish Real Madrid is in England, but that is not possible. I believe he will end his career in English football again."

Ronaldo joined Real Madrid from Manchester United in 2009.

Juventus Rejected Multiple $92M Bids For Paul Pogba

Oct 29, 2015 12:26 PM

Mino Raiola, agent for Paul Pogba, claims Juventus rejected offers coming from Germany, Spain and England worth €85 million ($92 million) during the summer.

Pogba has been linked with clubs such as Barcelona and Chelsea.

Pogba is under contract with Juventus until June 2019.

"I don't know what will happen between Juventus and Barcelona in the future regarding Pogba," Raiola told RMC.

"Juventus received three offers worth €85 million from England, Spain and Germany last summer, but they turned all three of them down.

"I believe Juventus value him at €100 million.

"Are Bayern Munich an option? Pep Guardiola is a great coach. That would not cause any problems."

Zidane: Real Madrid Aren't Selling Ronaldo, Bale

Oct 28, 2015 8:02 PM

Zinedine Zidane insists both Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale will remain at Real Madrid and are not for sale.

Both players have been linked to moves to Manchester United at various points.

"No, he [Ronaldo] is not for sale, it wouldn't make sense," Zidane said.

"Big players are what people want to read about, so that is why they are written about, but why would Real Madrid have any intention of selling the best player in the world?

"Cristiano Ronaldo has been the best player in the world for the past few years, and he knows he is the best.

"It doesn't mean that he doesn't work hard, or that he doesn't want to improve and get better, but he has that confidence where he knows how good he is.

"I was not the most prolific goalscorer, but I knew how good I was. I knew that I could read the game and see things one or two seconds quicker than everybody else."

Bale has had a mixed start to his career with Madrid.

"Of course clubs are going to want Gareth, he is one of the best in the world, but I am not sure how much clearer we can be," maintained Zidane, who is currently the manager of Real Madrid's reserve side.

"Gareth has made it clear, his agent has made it clear, we have made it clear, his future is at Real Madrid. We sign the best players in the world, we don't sell them."

Ranieri: Jamie Vardy Could Join Real Madrid

Oct 27, 2015 10:21 AM

Jamie Vardy leads the Premier League in goals with 10 as he's helped Leicester City to an excellent start.

Vardy has been linked with a move to Real Madrid by reports in Spain and Claudio Ranieri, who initially dismissed speculation, concedes he could depart.

He told a press conference on Monday: "It is important Jamie enjoys it here but I can also understand if he wants to go to find a great club but it would cost a lot.

"If Real Madrid or some big names want to buy him they have the money to buy him.

"The valuation is made by the owners not me.

"Not many teams can buy him now.

"But nobody asks [for] him, he is very happy here and we don’t want to sell him – it is clear."

Victor Valdes Hopes To Leave United, Stay In EPL

Oct 27, 2015 10:19 AM

Victor Valdes hopes to leave Manchester United in January, but he would like to remain in the Premier League.

Valdes refused to play for United's reserve team, which made Louis van Gaal decide to freeze him out.

Newcastle United is an option with Tim Krul out for the rest of the season.

"We are relying on Manchester United letting Victor go," agent Gines Carvajal said. "The Premier League is very attractive and Valdes want to stay because he has adapted perfectly to England, but we are not closing the door to any options.

"There are still two months until the transfer window opens and there is nothing concrete, but the intention is to leave Manchester United."

Lionel Messi 'Never Closer' To Leaving Barcelona

Oct 27, 2015 10:16 AM

Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City made informal approaches to Lionel Messi's representatives about his interest in leaving Barcelona, according to a report last week.

"It is the closest he's ever been to leaving Barcelona," said Guillem Balague. "It doesn't mean he will but it is the closest he has ever been to leaving the club."

Messi is facing up to 22 months in jail if he's found guilty of defrauding Spanish tax authorities and Graham Hunter says that could become a factor in his decision.

Hunter said: "The climate, not just at the Camp Nou but in Catalonia, is probably enough to make him and his family scratch their heads and wonder.

"I guess at his age... maybe you start to look at your next move and you think your next move at 28 is vitally important.

"Do I stay? Do I look at pastures new? I wouldn't pretend to know what he's going to do but at this stage of his life and with Barcelona run in the way that it is, I think it's a story of merit.

"It's something I guess you and I will be talking about for months to come."

With Zlatan Ibrahimovic's contract expiring with Paris Saint-Germain expiring after this season, the club will surely pursue Cristiano Ronaldo.

PSG directors are more optimistic than pessimistic that they will have an opportunity to acquire Ronaldo. The club is very close to Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes, who will have a great deal of influence on the decision.

PSG also has a strong working relationship with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.

Ronaldo plays against PSG for the first time in his career on Wednesday in the Champions League.
